Trouble in paradise? It was about a week ago… (No Really)
Brooklyn native, Bobby Shmurda recently took to social media claiming he was not being properly compensated for appearances and concerts ranting to throw in the towel. Normally these moment are supposed to be a rapturous time in a new artist career. Yet, there’s no harm in the act of him expressing himself to a certain extent. Besides his fan wouldn’t want his emotions to feel defeated at this point in the game.
Momanager to the rescue..
Momma not having any quitter’s in her house, just while the media outlets jumped right into the story, Leslie Pollard pulls them back out. As she states to Billboard magazine, “It’s not that he’s not getting paid, it’s that he’s new to the business,” “There’s a chain of command that he has to go through before he gets his payment. I guess he’s thinking all the money should go from the front man to his hands — it doesn’t work like that. Of course they hold onto it so he actually does the show. Then it goes to his business manager, then to the touring accountant, and then to him.” Here at “Cache Talks..” we’re glad to see his mother has his back while educating him on the financial aspect of the industry!
The best simplified PR advise we can give Mr. Bobby Shmurda is to learn the music industry as best as he can while keeping his finances formulated accurately.
